My grade five teacher played the Bushwackers regularly and I fell for the fiddle playing of Louis McManus, Michael Harris and Dan Bourke. Later, sessions at Molly Blooms, Dan O’Connell’s and the Port Fairy Folk Festival led me back to the source of this music. It’s a happy space to be in… I have been playing the violin professionally for 25 years. Most of the work I have done has been inspired by Irish folk music.”
